WHO ARE WE
The Environmental Action Group [EAG] originated as an initiative of the SA Synod of the Uniting Church in 2014. In 2017 it also became associated with and supported by the Effective Living Centre. Its aim is to foster a concern for the environment and to awaken the Uniting Church to the impact of climate change on the world.
The Environmental Action Group is willing to offer workshops or speaking engagements for church and community groups.
- to enable ways to model living and working to minimise negative impacts on the climate
- to relate concerns for the environment to a Christian lifestyle expressed in worship, prayer, study and communal decision making
- to advocate for change and to research the consequences of human induced climate change to enable the church to express its concern for all created life.
