We are a group formed in 2014 by the Uniting Church in South Australia working to
raise awareness of the threat of climate change and consequent
environmental collapse; and to change ourselves, our communities and our
nation to avert the danger. We lobby to encourage the people and
governments of Australia to speed up our transition to clean energy and away
from fossil fuel.

The EAG was formed to foster awareness in the Uniting Church of
environmental issues and to encourage all our people to see that caring for
God’s creation is our core business, a duty for all our people. We also want to
provide information and resources to help each other reduce our impact on the
Earth both as individuals and as a church. We are affiliated with the Effective
Living Centre and report to the South Australian Synod Mission Resourcing
Committee under Justice Advocacy.
