In the 90’s Jonathan was CEO/Minister of the Bondi Beach UCA Parish Mission whose ministry through the “Chapel By the Sea” served street people who were either unemployed, suffered addictions, had mental health issues or were just lost – often in more ways than one. This ministry led to Jonathan teaching a course at the United Theological College known as “Liturgies for the Unchurched”. In the wider community Jonathan found himself as de-facto chaplain to the wider Bondi Beach community often called upon to deliver all kinds of blessing or healing celebrations.
