The Effective Living Centre is a not-for-profit organisation that was established in 1998. Its primary vision is to promote living effectively in our present times and to share with people who wish to broaden and develop their own vision and passion for life.

It is open and available to people of any social, political or religious belief who share our values of respect, compassion, inclusion, fairness, integrity and community.

All our programs and events are offered in a conscious spirit of hospitality, inclusion and respect.

The Effective Living Centre is an ongoing community engagement project of
Christ Church Uniting – Wayville

There are many ways that you can contribute to the Effective Living Centre.

Our activities are largely supported by volunteers. You may wish to participate in a task group, assist at events or offer administrative support in the ELC office.

Friends of the ELC

We invite supporters to join as ‘Friends of the ELC’.

The annual fee is $40 for an individual or $50 for a family, which helps to provide
necessary financial support for our work.

Friends of the ELC can access subsidized ticket prices for ELC events and activities
and receive our newsletters.

You can pay for your ‘Friends of ELC’ Membership online here

Hiring our Facilities

We are able to hire out our facilities for courses and seminars.
Please contact us for the prices and venue options.

Cooperative initiatives are seen by the ELC as a way of participating in
personal and community development with others.

We also welcome suggestions about seminar topics and other ideas.

To contribute in any of these ways, please contact us.

Our bi-annual newsletter can be received either electronically or by Australia Post

Funding for the ELC has come from a variety of sources over the years.

Particular programs and projects have been supported by the Synod of the Uniting Church SA,
the City of Unley, the Premier’s Fund, Community Benefits SA, and the National Australia Bank.

However, our primary support is increasingly from donations and “Friends of the ELC.”
